This script corrects mileage in Subaru Impreza/XV/Crosstrek NS instrument clusters based on the Fujitsu MB91F579CHS microcontroller and an external 93C86 (MSOP8) EEPROM. The script was created to make working with these clusters easier. These clusters not only have an MSOP8 EEPROM located on the arrow-side of the cluster, but they also feature the unpopular Mazda-style arrows, which are best avoided without a special arrow puller. While it's possible to connect to the EEPROM in-circuit (vias are present on the board), reading the EEPROM in-circuit is very difficult and intermittent. Because of this, a script was created that works with the EEPROM via the MB91F579CHS processor.
The script supports EEPROM reading and writing and has a built-in mileage calculator. The dashboard is accessed via points on the back of the printed circuit board.
