 A script for reading and writing TCM T87A gearboxes for GM vehicles. These transmission control units are used on 6-speed, 8-speed and 10-speed transmissions from 2015-2020:

Supported GM vehicles with 6-speed transmission and T87A TCM:

The script supports reading FULL FLASH and writing FULL FLASH (skipping the bootloader area) on the bench with a direct connection to the ECU connector.
The script also supports checking the correctness of the read and written data (that is, write whatever you want to the block, but after reading or writing, the script will check itself for the correctness of reading and writing data).


The script does not recalculate the Checksum.

To work with the script you will need a 44pin adapter or DB44 connector and an MCP2515 board and a 12V power supply that connects to the IPROGPRO programmer. There is a photo of the connection in the script.
