A diagnostic interface for Volvo.
All electronic systems in trucks, buses, and special equipment use specialized computer programs for diagnostics such as VTT (Volvo Tech Tool), RTT (Renault Tech Tools), PTT (Premium Tech Tool), CETT (Construction Tech Tool), VCADS PRO (Volvo Computer Aided Diagnostic System), and Navigator.
Volvo — Vostok is fully compatible with the original Volvo Tech Tool software. The Vyborg 9998555 communication unit is recommended for heavy-duty use and is the best choice for vehicles manufactured before 2015.
When developing the Vostok and Voshod interface families, the developers combined the best features of the 9998555 adapter and the 88890300 (VOCOM). This provides reliable communication with older trucks equipped with D12A engines, stable operation with 98th and version 2 electronics, and full compatibility with the VOCOM 88890300 allows us to confidently look to the future with vehicles from the 2023 FH4/FM4 model range.
The "Vostok" interface is a simplified version of 88890300 (as a low-cost alternative to 88890020, 88890140, and 88840133). To improve operational reliability and reduce the cost of the final product, only the currently used protocols and functions were retained: K and L (ABS 1994), 1708/1587 (trucks 1994-2014), and 1939 (FH4/FM4). Support for the unused LIN protocol (SAE J2602) has been removed, and limited support for SAE 15765 has been implemented. It is the best choice for vehicles from 2015-2023.
The adapters allow you to do diagnostics of Volvo trucks and buses, program all electronic units, check and change parameters, adjust speed limiters, adjust air suspension, configure EBS and ECAS units, and configure other vehicle systems. This adapter type is the primary one when working in DEVELOPMENT mode (software developer) and for the Navigator 1587 software (direct access to CAN).
The devices (when used with various adapter types) and the "Tech Tool" and "Vcads Pro" and "Vodia5" programs also allow you to do diagnostics on Volvo trucks, buses, and special equipment, including excavators, graders, bulldozers, power plants, etc.
