FLEX release ver. 2.2.0.0

TWO NEW Flex Software Packages released!

  • NEW SW Package — BDM MPC5XX: Software and map area writing of Bosch MEDC17 ECUs in BMW Exx series via OBD.
    • The Flex BDM MPC5XX SW Package allows full read and full write of the ECU, including each of the memories stored inside the control unit without any encryption. In case of master and slave ECUs, both are supported.
    • This protocol is way faster than any other BDM tool on the market, especially since it has been designed for a fairly new hardware. Tuning, pairing and restoring backup are no issue at all, and can be done in few seconds. It will also be possible to read and write the shadow memories (content will be added to internal flash read), which comes useful when dealing with BMW ECUs.
    • Reading times have been tested around a minute in total, depending on the ECU model. Writing times do not depend on actual size of modification inside the file, as the tool is fast enough even without skipping sectors. Less than two minutes will be more than enough for a complete clone. If you are a previous owner of MAGP1.16 BDM MPC5xx plugin, this new protocol is totally free of charge. Also owners of previous BDM tools (MAGP1.11 and MAGP1.14) will receive it for free.
  • NEW SW Package — NEC 76F00xx
    • The Flex AUD for NEC 76F00xx SW Package allows full read and full write of the ECU, including each of the memories stored inside the control unit without any encryption. Other toolmakers may name this protocol as JTAG NEC 76F00xx.
    • This protocol is extremely fast and a very important assessment for everyone’s daily work, being focused on the biggest car seller of the world — Toyota group. Tuning, clone and restoring backup are no issue at all, and can be done shortly.
    • Reading times have been tested around a minute in total, depending on the ECU model. Writing times are also very short, less than two minutes in general. If you are a previous owner of MAGP1.2 or MAGP1.12 (X17), this new protocol is totally free of charge.
